Advanced green is all about taking green to the next step. Where do we go next in our sustainable community?

Chicago talks a lot about green roofing, storm water management, heat island effect, and energy efficiency.  But, what is the most tangible, and how do we get there. Since so many things are considered cutting edge or new, it has been quite a challenge to figure out what has the best return on investment.

The return on investment (ROI) for all the different types of green practices has a lot to do with basic concepts. Where are you located, what kind of building, what kind of budget do you have, and what are your goals. Balancing all of these different parts can be the hardest part of going green.

So in green 101 on both this site, and on www.OmRealtyGroup.com we talk about the concepts, basic practices (changing light bulbs, etc...), but in this section we want to educate our community in how to approach the more advanced green issues.
